Hi everyone, thank you for downloading our song. We hope you like it! We'll put everything we make towards making new music and amazing content for you!
In 1972, you asked 'Who the f**k is Alice?'. Well, times have changed.
'Alice' depicts a young foreign musician who frequents the Berlin music scene. The story shows the essence of Berlin culture, celebrating how the city welcomes those who bring their artistic flair, raw talent and passion for vibrant diversity.
The band's' lyrics pay homage to Berlin's rich cultural scene through eyes that feel a cross-cultural sense of belonging. Lingering between the space of America and Germany, Berlin musicians Robin Sellin and Johannes Heger sing English lyrics influenced by their time in the U.S.A, with a signature Berlin style. The band is an icon for the era of global citizenship and it's influence on art. Their music is for everyone who identifies with Berlin in their heart, wherever they call home. Nature in the City are fun, introspective and authentic and their uplifting songs sprout joy in the cracked, hardened pavement of day to day life.
Alice, just out of arms reach but at the forefront of the mind and song, is a metaphor for inspiration itself. The seduction of the muse within the artists' mind beguiles the songwriter in his waking life and dreams. Luckily for you, Nature in the City managed to capture that creative energy in song, to deliver a flirtatious narrative with upbeat, dance-worthy vibes.
she was new to my favorite city
the city of Berlin
she was playing all the songs she new
and her dress was waving in the wind
she was singing to the people
that hung around to see
and though I was standing in the back of the crowd
I knew she was singing for me
alice
where will you be singing tonight
where will you be singing your songs to a silent crowd
I want to see you
so the next time that I saw her
I made my way right through the crowd
and though I took all of my courage
I did not dare to ask her out
but I heard her in my dreams that night
her voice was loud and clear
I sit here now can't get her out of my head
wishing she was here
alice
where will you be singing tonight
where will you be singing your songs to a silent crowd
I want to see you
alice
everybody there is going to love you
cause wherever you go and whatever you do
they love to see you
and the last time that I saw her
the crowd had grown so large
there was no way to get through to her
so I am shouting from the far...
alice
where will you be singing tonight
where will you be singing your songs to a silent crowd
I want to see you
come on, alice
everybody there is going to love you
wherever you go and whatever you do
they love to see you

We're Robin and Johannes. Nature in the City is all about evolution, not unlike both the natural processes of nature and
cities. Our music is a rhythmic documentary of cross cultural experiences, from Boston to Berlin. It's a curious exploration of the intricacies of the very things that make us human....more
